2005. Visual World. Installation in progress at the Reykjavík Art Museum. Each mountain consists of 12 units, which fit together to form a cone shape measuring 250 cm. high with a crater opening of 80×80 cm. In the future, when the mountains have a permanite site, the peaks will be made to match their location and enviroment. The peaks are whole sections fitting on the top, which will make the mountains from 380 to 450 cm. high. The mountains were cast in Einingarverksmiðjan ehf. With the close collaboration and support of that firm, and they are named after my assistants there. They are solid rebar concrete blocks, the environmental art of the future. Each mountain has different texture greyscaling and colours.
